Mr. Dodd,
Formally my second-grade teacher, every day in class he was always happy to show his face to our class, Troy would always be hard on me because he knew I had the potential to overcome a lot of leaps. Not only he was a great teacher he was a great mentor as well. I would always ask to see him every time I come home on leave to visit friends and family. Troy has a special place in my heart not only as a teacher but one of the best teachers I ever had growing up. From the times of sitting down and eating lunch with him, playing around the world in his classroom, teaching myself and other students basic life skills, he was always there.
Mr. Dodd you will truly be missed. You will always have a special place in my mind and my heart. With all love from your former student.

Dodd is a forever friend. He is firmly in my "I will see you later" part of my heart, because I know I will see him again. I know he is happy and looking down on all of us with love. For those of us left behind, we are grieving because the loss is so painful.
My favorite ( of many) remembering is that Dodd was always surrounded by his students. I am sharing a holiday picture where he was dressed up for his class. Students are not shown to respect their privacy but he was surrounded by 17 beautiful faces in this picture all looking up at him. People looked up to Troy young and old because he loved mightily and lived his life in service to others.

Todd was a childhood neighborhood friend. He was someone I could count on as a protector of sort. He was quiet, yet funny. We would walk to Seminole Park, a group of us. Just when you thought, okay nothing is gonna happen, he and David Bennett would grab you and throw you off the boat ramp dock. You will be missed! I will forever hold many memories of our childhood and teen years. Rest in peace my friend.

Troy Dodd was one of the most caring people I have ever known, all of the teachers in the Title 1 spectrum and ESE curriculum are, it requires tremendous heart and empathy to dedicate themselves to their students. He is missed.

My first memory was when he first started at ORB. I remember thinking those 4th graders were going to eat him alive. He was so kind and respectful when he asked if he could start setting up his classroom in the middle of the summer. Boy was I wrong. I´m going to miss you Dodd!
