Troy Ferral Donaldson, 91 of Riceville, TN, born March 22, 1932, passed away Sunday, November 26th, 2023.
Troy was born in Durant, OK and graduated from high school in Oregon. After high school he joined the Air Force and served from February 1952 to February 1956. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal. Troy then moved to Phoenix, AZ and lived there for a number of years. He and his wife, Jeanette, owned and operated Pestaway Corp. from 1976 to October 2021 and currently still own Pest Control Data Systems. Troy was a member of SARS, several pest control associations, and the Elks Lodge.
Troy was preceded in death by his father, Sabaska Donaldson; mother, Roby Gill; brothers: Weldon, Louis, DJ, Fielden, Joe, Kenneth, Dean, Dale, and William; and sister, Mary.
Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Jeanette Colloms Donaldson; sons: Stanley Donaldson, Jerry Donaldson (Gayle), daughters: Sherril Ray (Cecil) and Sonya Donaldson; step-son, Eddie Hamby, step-daughter, Joyce Hamby Womac (Estil), and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 30th, 2023, 1-2:00pm with the service begging at 2:00pm in the Poole Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Cleveland chapel with Reverend Fletcher Farris officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to expend special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Chattanooga, especially Charlee Boyd Nischner and Shauna Martin for their kind and compassionate care over the last two years.
