Dear Grandad,
you are the greatest man that I have ever known. You will always be my hero. The love that you showed me my entire life never had to be spoken because you showed it time and time again. I could never repay you for all that you did for me. I don't know what I am gonna do for the Cowboys games next season. I already miss you so much. I love you and thanks for everything.

Chief Glidewell,
Several things pop into my mind when I think about the time we worked together here at the fire department.....Your sincere interest in the members, your quick witted humor, drinking coffee at all hours of the day, and always cinching down my seatbelt when you were driving.
I will miss you

Chief Glidewell, I remember my first day on the job with the Coppell Fire Department.....You were the first person I met. You spent the day giving me a tour of the city and other orientation duties. But what I remember most from that day (besides learning to make coffee) was going home to my wife and telling her how great my first day on the job was. The impression you left that day has carried me for many years. Your sense of community spirit, dedication, and loyalty to the department is something I applied to my personal values. As Fire Chief, I continue to pass along those valuable lessons I learned from you to our new members. Thank you for making a difference in so many lives. Your legacy will continue within the Coppell Fire Department for many years to come. Thank you.
