Troy Milton McDonald, 61, of Louisville Kentucky, passed away March 15, 2025.
Troy was born on April 28, 1963, in La Grange Kentucky to Rosetta Atchison and Robert McDonald. Troy is remembered with affection and love by his family and all who knew him.
Troy is survived by his beloved spouse, Amiee McDonald, and his precious daughter, Madison Rose McDonald. He is also survived by his mother, Rosetta Maddux Atchison. Troy was a cherished brother to Tom (Jonetta) McDonald, Rick (Carol) Atchison, and Robert (Yuli) Atchison. He also loved his niece Blayne McDonald, and a host of special nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert Milton McDonald.
Troy's love for God was evident in his active involvement with the children's ministry at his church. He also served as a "watch dog" at his daughter's, Madison, elementary school. Both roles demonstrated his deep desire to make a positive impact on the lives of the younger generation.
Troy found joy in the simple pleasures of nature. He loved feeding and watching birds, a pastime that brought him both peace and happiness. He was also known for his patriotism and his strong commitment to upholding the values as a US Army veteran.
A dedicated member of the Northeast Christian Church, Troy's faith was a beacon that guided him throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by his church family.
Visitation will be from 12pm -2pm, Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Ratterman Brothers East Louisville (12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40207) with a memorial service to follow at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers (2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, New York 10306)
As we bid farewell to Troy, we are reminded of his deep commitment to serving others and his enduring love for his family.
His memory will forever be etched in our hearts.

So sorry to hear of Troy death. I went to school with him. He was always nice to me. And then he was doing DQ window cleaning for awhile. I seen him there and talked some. Again he was nice. I pray comfort at this time.

I came to know Troy when he was a parent and Watch Dog for our school during Madison's elementary school years. He was always focused on our safety and was a regular volunteer during both the school day and after school activities. I offer my sincerest sympathy to Amiee, Madison, and other family members and friends who have lost a good, devoted, and patriotic military veteran. Although I will be unable to pay my respects in person, I will have each of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Les McIntosh

Troy always made me feel safe when he was on WatchDog duty for school. He was kind and thoughtful and a great role model for us all.
