Troy Navis, age 61, passed away after an auto accident on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
Troy was born on December 29, 1964, the son of Arlyn and Laraine (Pat) (VanHeirden) Navis. An accomplished musician playing in several area bands to include Iron Horse, Candy, and 5 o'Clock Charlie. When not playing and writing music Troy was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing, and he kept his hands busy fixing things and took pride in helping others. His love of all animals shined brightly but his black lab Seamus was his true best friend, and his many amazing cats also shared in his love.
Troy is survived by his two children, Brigit (Reid Bettilyon) Navis and Keegan (Nixie) Navis; his companion, Judy Noack; and two brothers, Josh (Connie) Navis of Waupun and Michael (Janell) Hanson of Sun Prairie; along with many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlyn Navis in 2008 and Laraine "Pat" Navis in 2011; and an infant sister, Yvette Navis and brother, Eric Navis; and other relatives.
A gathering to celebrate Troy’s life will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Werner Harmsen Funeral Home from 4-6pm. A Celebration of Life service will take place at 6pm all at the Werner Harmsen Event Center.
