Troy Phelps Obituary

Troy was born on March 18, 1948 in Gainesville, Texas to Delton M. and Christalene (Riddle) Phelps. He was a graduate of Highland High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico and attended college at the University of New Mexico. He loved the outdoors and was able to spend many hours being where he loved while working his cows on the ranch or riding his motorcycle through the countryside.
He is survived by his son, Troy Phelps and wife, Melanie of Whitesboro; grandson, Delton Troy Phelps of Whitesboro; brother, Daniel Phelps of Whitesboro; nephew, Larry Clendenen of Whitesboro; nephew, Christopher Phelps of College Station; and niece, Jennifer Espenschied of Alaska.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents, Delton and Christalene Phelps, brother, Larry Delton Phelps, and brother, Michael Wayne Phelps.
Memorial remembrances may be made in his honor to Noah's Ark in Gainesville, Texas at noahsarktx.com.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. A memorial service honoring Troy will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Marshall's Homestyle Cooking at 31083 US Hwy 377 Gordonville, Texas.
