Troy Allen Presley, 54, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on April 11, 1971, to Mona Ray Caple, Troy was a lifelong resident of Louisville and a beloved son, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Though born with cerebral palsy and non-verbal, Troy possessed an extraordinary spirit and a powerful presence. His strength of will and remarkable ability to communicate through his facial expressions and actions touched the hearts of everyone around him. Troy had a rare gift for teaching others the true meaning of unconditional love, resilience, and living life without limitations.
Troy had an infectious joy and a wonderful sense of humor. His smile could light up any room, and his laughter was a source of happiness for all who knew him. He was a bright, shining light whose enthusiasm was contagious.
He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—watching his favorite shows like Gunsmoke, wrestling, and cartoons, visiting with neighbors during long walks, caring for his cherished pets, Moose and Lucy, and especially going to the fair to enjoy cotton candy. These moments brought him peace and happiness, and they will be remembered with love.
Troy was a great human being, full of inspiration, kindness, and warmth. His legacy is one of joy, strength, and boundless love. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, neighbors, and all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
May he rest in peace, wrapped in the love he gave so freely.
Troy is preceded in death by his father, Bob Caple; and an uncle, Doug Mills.
Left to cherish his memory, Troy is survived by his mother, Mona Caple; aunts, Donna Sue Curtsinger and Norma “Buke” Caudell; cousins, Wendy Kennett, Eddie Mills, Glenda Meredith, Christy Daugherty, Sherry Herman (Mark), Aaron Daugherty, and Brooklyn Linton; and a host of close friends.
