Troy Dean Roach, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dedicated member of the community, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2025.
Born on March 19, 1944, in Chester, South Carolina, Troy was the son of the late Frank Alexander Roach and the late Margie McKee Roach.
Troy is survived by his children, Amy Roach and Brian Roach (Joy). He was a proud grandfather to Brooklyn Martin, Jacob Valverde, and Elizabeth Valverde, as well as great-grandfather to Bishop Roscoe. Troy is also survived by his siblings, Janice Cox, Barbara Hunt, and Jerry Kimbrell.
Troy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn McGuire Roach, who was his partner in life and love.
Troy was a lifelong member of Epworth United Methodist Church, where he dedicated 60 years of service and devotion. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him in all that he did. An avid outdoorsman, Troy found joy in yard work, cutting grass, and working on cars. His passion for the outdoors brought him happiness and fulfillment.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Shriners Children Hospital.

I just learned tonight about Troy's passing and I immediately became overwhelmed with deep sadness. I have known Troy for a long time due to our passion for exercise (Omni Health & Fitness and Gold's Gym). I saw him exercising frequently throughout the week and we chatted about Life 101....he always made time for me and wanted to know how I was doing as well as my family. He always had sweets in his jean's pocket and made sure to give me some every time I saw him because I am a sugar addict. Despite him not returning to the gym following COVID he always texted me every several months to see how I was doing. I had been thinking about him and wondered why I had not heard from him but due to my own family issues I didn't reach out to him.....I regret this greatly. For me Troy was a very kind, caring, humble man who I will miss going forward. I am very sad to know he has transitioned but hopeful that he is now with his beloved wife whom he missed greatly. Rest in peace dear Troy.....you left me and many others with your endearing footprint. XOXO
