Troy Dean Soldier, age 69, of Grove, Oklahoma, went to his heavenly home on Monday, July 21, 2025 in Springdale, Arkansas with his family by his side. He was born in Claremore, OK on June 27, 1956 to his parents Andy Soldier and Louise Jumper-Soldier. Troy attended Jay High School until his 12th grade. In 2005 he received his GED with the help of Gail Sperry. That was a very proud and successful day for Troy and his family. In his teenage years Troy worked with Bill Berry Nursery. After his high school years, Troy worked with Ben's Tree Service. Later he worked for Cherokee Nation Housing Authority, City of Jay Sanitation Department, and lastly City of Jay Waste Water Department. At his passing he was still employed and was planning on finally retiring August 2025. He was very proud of his native heritage and spoke the Cherokee language. He was listed as being a fluent speaker with Cherokee Nation. He loved his family and loved spending time with them and his friends. He loved making people laugh and sharing his stories. Troy loved his Temu shirts, the wilder the better. Troy will be missed dearly and never forgotten by his family and friends. This is not a goodbye, it's a see ya later. Until we meet again, " DO-NA-DA-GO-HV-I " Troy is preceded in death by his father Andy Soldier; Grandparents Esiah and Nancy Jumper; Brothers Randy Soldier, Eugene Soldier and Larry Soldier; and his Niece Cheyenne Dye. Troy is survived by his mother Louise Soldier; Wife Marie Soldier; his children Bo and Nathan Six, Mike and Holly Soldier, Ladonna and Wayne Malone, Kenny and Megan Parmenter. He was the best Doo Doo to his grandchildren Kyle Goins, Jacob Six, Kailey Soldier, Katelynn Soldier, Elijah Swake, Isaac Swake, Kaydence Swake, Maveric Malone, and Zoey Parmenter. Siblings Sharon Dodson, Gary Soldier and Becky Buck; his Aunt Joan Spade; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Troy's Celebration of Life Wake Service will be held on Monday, 6:00pm, July 28, 2025 at Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Chapel, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346, followed by his family visitation to greet friends until 8:00pm. Troy's Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, 2:00pm, July 29, 2025 at Mount Hermon Church, 42040 S. 670 Rd., Jay, OK 74346 with Pastor Stanley Grass and Pastor Chuck Glass. Followed by Troy's funeral procession to Jumper Cemetery. Troy's burial will be held at Jumper Cemetery, Jay, OK. Up on the hill where he always wanted to be. Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W Gray St., Jay, OK. 74346 with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
