Troy Spencer, 62, of Salem, passed away on May 22nd, 2025. He was born on September 19th, 1962, to Richard and Nona Kay (Jones) Spencer in Salem, Illinois.
He loved to go hunting. He had a passion for collecting gadgets of all kinds. His greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren, who gave him the nickname "fun grandpa".
Troy is survived by his wife: Darlene Spencer; 3 sons: Jordan (Amanda) Cody, Joshua (Heather) Cody, and Adam Marcello; one daughter: April (Charles) Bunton; his mother: Kay Spencer; 14 grandchildren: Alexis, David, Ethan, Braden, Madison, Charlie, Kylen, Bella, Heaven, Hailey, Jaden, Autumn, Abigail, and Ivy; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father: Richard Spencer Sr; brother: Rick Spencer; and his grandparents.
Cremation rites will be accorded, per his wishes. A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm Thursday May 29th, 2025, at the Rock Church in Centralia with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 pm till the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Celebrate Recovery and will be accepted at Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home, PO Box 97, Salem, Illinois, 62881, who is honored to be of service to Troy's family.
