Troy Allen Wilber, 55, of Milton, Vermont passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in Piketon, Ohio, doing what he loved - hunting.

He was born on November 20, 1969, in Burlington, Vermont, to Thomas Wilber of Milton, Vermont, and Carol (Alex Heil) Wilber of Newberry, Vermont.

On April 12, 2003, Troy was united in marriage to Jennifer Combs-Wilber of Milton, Vermont.

In addition to his wife and parents, Troy is survived by his daughter, Mikayla Combs-Wilber, and her fiancé, Austin Rich of Fairfax, Vermont; his brothers, Bret Wilber and Chip Wilber, both of Milton, Vermont; and his mother-in-law, Bonnie Combs of Westford, Vermont and his sisters-in-law, Wanda Howard (Bruce) and Kasey Maynard, both of Milton, Vermont.

Troy leaves behind too many close friends to list, those friends who will forever cherish his loyalty, humor, stubbornness and generous spirit.

Troy worked for the City of Essex Junction.

Troy is remembered for his love of the outdoors - whether it was huntin', fishin', or just sittin' by the fire with a cold one in hand.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Botkin Hornback Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of friends and family.
