Trudee Ann Judge, age 82, passed away on July 27, 2024 at her home in Bellingham, WA.

Trudee was born on July 14, 1942 in San Diego, CA to parents Melvin and Beth (Roberts) Peterson. Her family later moved back to Bellingham where she was a lifelong resident, growing up in the Cornwall Park neighborhood. In 1965, Trudee married Ernest P. Judge Jr. and they lived in the Silver Beach neighborhood of Lake Whatcom for 58 years.

A graduate of Bellingham High School, class of 1960, Trudee was involved with many reunions with friends and classmates of BHS through the years.

Trudee was also very involved with Bible Study Fellowship and was active in her church. She loved working in her many flower gardens around her home, and if you were her friend, you would often receive wildflower bouquets from her in the spring and summer.

She worked for many years at St. Joseph’s Hospital as a switchboard operator, receptionist in the laboratory, and was also trained as a phlebotomist. After St. Joseph’s, she worked at DIS as a receptionist, then later returned to St. Joseph’s as a medical billing specialist. After retiring, Trudee enjoyed many years of traveling and home life, often working in her flower gardens and sitting on the front porch swing with Ernie, watching the people on the lake.

Trudee is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin John Peterson and Beth Olive (Roberts) Peterson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ernie; son Jason of Ferndale, WA; daughter Joelle of Sacramento, CA; her grandson Joseph Michael Cordano; brother Rick (Shara) Peterson of Snohomish, WA; and many nieces and nephews.

A lunch reception will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, August 10th at Broadway Hall (1300 Broadway, Bellingham). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Whatcom Hospice Foundation, who made it possible for Trudee to spend her final days at home.

Please join us to celebrate Trudee’s life.
