In Loving Memory of Trudy Ann McGovern November 14, 1934 - September 4, 2025 Trudy Ann McGovern passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on November 14, 1934, to James and Gertrude Norton, Trudy was preceded in death by her beloved parents and was one of six siblings - four brothers and one sister- who shared in her spirited upbringing. She was the devoted mother of four children: Colleen Stafford (Dan Stafford), Carol Gilbertson (Larry Gilbertson), Cynthia Milbrandt (Steve Milbrandt), and Steve Christensen (Mary Christensen). Her legacy lives on through a large and loving family that includes numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-children. each of whom carries forward her warmth and wisdom. Trudy will be remembered for her many talents and the way she made every holiday feel magical. Her home was a place of tradition, laughter, and love - a reflection of the care she poured into every detail. Whether through her cooking, sewing, singing, or acts of kindness, she enriched the lives of all who knew her. She also brought joy through shared adventures - family outings to Como Zoo, afternoons exploring museums, and quiet moments spent bird watching. These simple pleasures became treasured traditions, filled with laughter, curiosity and connection. Trudy had a gift for turning everyday experiences into lasting memories. A private memorial gathering will be held at a future date to honor Trudy's life and legacy. Her spirit remains a guiding light, and her presence will be deeply missed.
