Trudy Whaley

Trudy Whaley, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully of natural causes on October 2, 2023, in Marianna, Florida. Born on July 8, 1944 in South Bend, Indiana, Trudy was a unique person that will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved her.
Trudy was a woman known by most for her interesting character. She was a unique individual who lived life on her own terms, always herself, never afraid to stand out from the crowd, and not bound by societal norms or expectations. Her zest for life was infectious, and she had a way of making every day interesting. Her personality was truly one of a kind, making her unforgettable to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Trudy is survived by her two sons, Derek J. Whaley and Harley D. Whaley, their wives, Hannah M. Whaley and Catherine D. Whaley, her beloved grandchildren, Madison S. Whaley, Karma E. Whaley, Jayden R. Ayers, Rollar R. Ayers III, Tyler Freeland, Landon Lipford and Calix R. Whaley, and her great-granddaughter Ivey Freeland. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Trudy's love has left a lasting legacy in the hearts of her family members.
Trudy's interests were as unique and varied as she was. She was a fierce competitor in board games, always ready for a fun-filled night with family and friends. Trudy loved spending time with her boys, visiting parks, enjoying the beauty of nature and the simple pleasures of life. But most of all, she enjoyed being herself - a unique, woman who lived life to the fullest.
Trudy's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate her life - a life lived, filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Trudy Whaley, will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
As we say our final goodbyes, we hold onto the precious memories we shared with Trudy. We remember her laughter and her unique spirit. Funeral services will be 1 P.M., Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M., until the time of service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
