Truman Ferrell Grayer was born on February 19, 1960, in Waycross, Georgia, to the late Willie Grayer Sr. and Delores Moody Couch. Ferrell as he was affectionately known, completed his high school education in the Waycross School System and later pursued a career in construction, becoming known as a skilled handyman.
Ferrell had a deep love for traveling and experiencing new things. He especially enjoyed city life, with Atlanta being one of his favorite places to visit. He would say "Take me where the happening is!", there he embraced city fun and excitement. He was a loving and devoted family man, cherishing his only daughter, Ms. Twanna Wilcox, and his granddaughters, Destiny and Dynisty.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Willie Greyer Jr., Harold Grayer, and James Edwards, and his sisters, Dranette Atkinson and Cheryl Knox.
Truman leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Twanna (William) Wilcox; his beloved granddaughters, Destiny and Dynisty; his sisters: Mary Alice Carter, Minnie Lee Allen, Ernestine Williams, Charlotte Cooper and Shirley Brownlee; his brother, Robert Grayer; and a host of other family members and friends who will forever remember his love, laughter, and adventurous spirit.
A graveside service will be held Friday, March 7, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Oakland Cemetery. Please continue to keep the family in prayer during this difficult time.
