Tujana Burford Obituary
Tujuana was known for her outgoing and outdoorsy nature. An exceptional athlete, she excelled in track, basketball, horseback riding, and golf, where one of her proudest moments was hitting a hole-in-one. Her energy and determination were matched only by her love for the people around her.
Family was at the heart of everything Tujuana did. Whether cheering on OU softball and the OU men's baseball team with her late husband, Leonard Burford, or spending cherished moments with her grandchildren, Tujuana's happiest times were spent surrounded by loved ones. Her warmth, laughter, and love for life left an unforgettable impression on everyone she met.
She is survived by her three sons, Leonard Michael (Delcy), Jim Wayland, and John Elmore; two grandchildren; 5 great grand-children; along with many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Wayne Burford, her parents, one brother, and one sister.
Funeral services to honor Tujuana's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the John Ireland Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma.
Tujuana's vibrant spirit and unwavering love for her family will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
