Twila Lou Bartruff

Twila Lou Frazier(Luedeman, Bartruff), of Independence, Missouri, was born August 19, 1927 in Eustis, Nebraska to Merle and Joy Frazier. She peacefully departed this life on September 22, 2025 at the age of 98, to be reunited with her Creator. Her smile and gentle laugh will never be forgotten. Twila enjoyed being a bank teller a majority of her working years. She was baptized into the RLDS Church and attended various Restoration Branches in Independence, MO. She also treasured the friendships of the Journeyman Class at the Methodist Church.

Twila was married to William(Bill) Luedeman on May 26, 1946 for 61 years until his death in 2007. Three children were born to this union, Bruce William in 1947,

Crystal Lynn in 1948, and Tamara Joy in 1957.

After a year of widowhood Twila rekindled a friendship with her high school sweetheart, Wayne Bartruff, and they were married in 2008.

They enjoyed 8 years of marriage until his death in 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Jon Merle Frazier as well as her son Bruce William Luedeman on 8/3/2025.

Survivors include a brother Vance(Dee)Frazier of Fairbury, NE, daughters Crystal Bechtel of Orange City, FL, Tamara Joy(Jeff) of Lee’s Summit, MO, daughter-in-law Muriel Luedeman of Independence, MO. Jerry(Carla) Bartruff of Tiffin, IA,

Jim(Lindy) Bartruff of Niwot, CO, Phil Bartruff of Helena, MT, Mike Bartruff of Ft. Mitchell, KY, Larry(Lori) Bartruff of Beaver Dam, WI.

Grandchildren include Lana Bechtel of Orange City, FL, Mark(Sherry) Bechtel of Orlando, FL, Scott VanBiber of Lee’s Summit, MO, Drew VanBiber of Grain Valley, MO, Lisa Joy (Robert) VanBiber-Sanders of Oklahoma City, OK, Jenna Luedeman of Independence,MO, and Winn Luedeman of Jefferson City, MO.

Great-granddaughters include Sydney Bechtel of Oklahoma City,OK and Keala Bechtel of Orlando, FL, many nieces and nephews as well.

Always grateful and optimistic, she taught us how to love and be thankful for all things. She loved her hometown of Eustis, Nebraska, her faith and family heritage.

No local service planned, but there will be a graveside memorial in Eustis Westview Cemetery this spring of 2026.
