Twyla K. Watson, 79, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, formerly of Winslow, IL passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday September 30, 2025.

She was born on October 22, 1945 in Freeport, IL, the daughter of Leo and Zelma (Degunther) Grindey. Twyla graduated from Warren High School with the class of 1963. She married the love of her life Sheridan Watson on June 15, 1963, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Warren.

Twyla made wedding cakes with her mother and enjoyed painting ceramics. She worked with Sheridan farming in rural Winslow. Twyla would spend Saturday nights dancing at Turner Hall in Monroe, WI. She cherished spending time and watching her children and grandchildren play sports and activities over the years.

Twyla is survived by her 5 children- Marge (Jeff) Mayer, Marsha (Robert) Ernst, Marvin (Shirley) Watson, Marla Briggs, and Mark Watson; grandchildren- Mark (Jes), Matt (Jen), Amanda, Daniel, Brandi (Mitchell), Charles, and Tyler;13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Sheridan, sister Donna and a sister in infancy.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – Noon on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Warren.

Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. following the visitation at the church.

Officiating will be Rev. Robin Luckey.

Interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery

Luncheon to follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
