Twyleah Mitcham Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Denbo Funeral Home - English on Feb. 16, 2026.
Twyleah Denney, originally of Springville, IN, passed away on February 12, 2026 at the age of 71.

Born on June 14, 1954, to Charles Esker Denney and Lura (Keith) Denney. She married Calvin E. Mitcham on June 4, 2000, and he survives. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and countless memories.

Twyleah graduated from Oolitic High School in 1972. Retired from General Motors in June 2008. She was a member of Oolitic Baptist Church.

She enjoyed life to the fullest. She was up for any adventure whether it was going rock climbing in the jeep with Calvin or using her granddaughters as an excuse to travel all over the world. She enjoyed traveling in her camper, winning card games, going to the ocean, and spending time with family while watching her grandkids and great grandkids grow up right in front of her eyes. She rarely missed any of their milestones even while she was living in Michigan.

Twyleah is survived by her children: Stacy Baker-Gilmore (Bob) of Bedford, IN; Erika Baker-McKinney (Ryan) of Bedford, IN; and Jordan Baker (Juliana) of Pleasanton, CA. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Heather Mitcham (Aaron Christoff) of Lake Orion, MI and Joshua Mitcham (Amy) of St. Claire, MI.

Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Hannah Baker of Bedford, IN ; Bailee Callahan (Brandt) of Nashville, TN; Payton Flynn (Luke Lobring) of Bloomington, IN; Lucas and Ava McKinney of Bedford, IN; Aspen and Dakota Baker of Pleasanton, CA; and Ella Christoff of Lake Orion, MI and Pippa Mitcham of St. Claire, MI. She was also blessed with two great-granddaughters, Pyper and Penellope "Nellie" of Bedford, IN.

Twyleah is survived by two of her siblings, Bryan Denney (Elaine) of Ponte Verda, FL and Harriett Cummings (Larry), of Oolitic, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Mitt Lee Denney and Charles "Mike" Denney; and her sisters, Sylvia Strunk, Casilda "Cassie" Arthur, Birdie Denney, and Lucille Denney.

Twyleah will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her warm heart, her strength, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished always.

Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

Calvin , I´d like to send my deepest sympathy for the loss of such amazing woman I worked with Twyleah @ GM WIndsor . She was the kindest person and absolute pleasure to be around daily. I called her my work mother as I was the youngest in the great group of colleagues @ GM. I will cherish my memories of her and all are great golf outings. It was an honour to call her a friend.

May god bless you and your family during this time of need

Respectfully!

Dave Masse
