Twylear Locklear

Twyla went to be with the Lord on December 4th, 2025 surrounded by her family. Beloved and Honored Twyla was the Rock of our family, Loved and Respected by Many. She loved her church, singing for many years in the Young Adult Choir, teaching Sunday School and most recently listening to the Sunday Service. She will be missed by many, a testament to her Christian walk. Of the many things she enjoyed was staying in touch with family and friends. One of her favorite sayings was "I've got to call (name) and see how they are doing."
Twyla was preceded in her entrance into heaven by her parents Mr. Lonnie B. Locklear and Margaret Locklear, a brother Freeman Locklear and her biological mother Cletis Jones.
She is survived by her husband: Gary Locklear, daughters: Delia D. Locklear (Joshua L. Locklear) Amelia D. Locklear, son: Samuel G. Locklear, 13 grandchildren and honorary daughter Autumn Jacobs, and honorary son Tony Brown; brothers: Lonnie Locklear Jr. (Barbara Locklear), James E. Locklear (Nadine Locklear). Twyla was an employee of First Health of the Carolinas until her retirement. The family wishes to recognize her caregivers, granddaughters Winter R. Locklear and Jocelyn A. Locklear.
