With shattered hearts, we share the passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Tyler Bastian, at only 25 years old. Tyler had the sweetest, most gentle spirit - a young man who felt deeply, loved quietly, and found joy in the little things that made life brighter.
Tyler had a vivid imagination and a heart full of passion. He loved Demon Slayer, Pokémon, and spending hours on his Xbox, especially playing Overwatch. These weren't just hobbies - they were worlds where he felt free, happy, and himself.
He had a special love for animals, especially reptiles. His bearded dragon, Spike, meant so much to him, and one of his favorite creatures in the world was the axolotl. That gentle curiosity was a big part of who he was. Some of his happiest memories were trips to SeaWorld with his grandma Gladys, where he could spend the whole day admiring the animals he loved so much.
As a child, Tyler explored many interests. He swam with the Southwest Stars Swim Club in elementary school, and in middle school he played the baritone and briefly tried the violin. These were little chapters of his life that showed his willingness to try new things and discover his place in the world.
Tyler also loved food and the comfort it brought him. Chicken nuggets, pizza, seafood - especially oysters - were always a favorite. He loved going out to eat, and Buffalo Wild Wings and Salt Shake were places where he felt happy, relaxed, and surrounded by people he loved.
Recently, Tyler had begun a new chapter working at Cracker Barrel, and he was proud of the steps he was taking toward his future. Growing up in Clermont, he attended Lost Lake Elementary, Windy Hill Middle School, and Lake Minneola High School, creating friendships and memories that became part of who he was.
Tyler is endlessly loved and missed by his parents, Eric and Sarah Bastian, his sisters Madison and Taylor, and his brother Dominic. His family stood together with him through every high and low, and they will forever carry his memory like a light that will never dim.
