Tyler Evans Burningham, a loving and dedicated father, nurse, firefighter, son, brother and uncle, passed away due to complications from diabetes on March 28th, 2024, at the age of 51 in Bountiful, Utah

Born on November 3rd, 1972, in Phoenix, Arizona, Tyler dedicated his life to serving his community as a nurse and firefighter. He found tremendous satisfaction in the challenges and rewards of the job, taking immense pride in every rescue and life saved.

Beyond firefighting, Tyler was a natural athlete. He excelled in baseball throughout his youth and high school years, and his athleticism extended to football. This competitive spirit translated well into adult life, when he played softball for the city.

He also extended his competitive spirit into his entire life and each chosen profession, where courage and determination were essential. His work ethic was legendary, often holding multiple jobs throughout his life to provide for his loved ones and focus his boundless energy. Tyler fought multiple physical and emotional ailments, always choosing to fight each day of his life for a better future for himself and his children.

Education was of greatest importance in his life. As a child, he rarely, if ever, missed a day of school. He achieved his LPN early in his career, and most recently achieved his nursing degree from Weber State University in 2021.

Faith was an important part of Tyler. He faithfully served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Charleston, West Virginia.

Family was paramount to Tyler. He will be deeply missed by his children: Jordyn, Peyton, and Bryson. He will also be missed by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He leaves behind his parents, Paul and Karolee Burningham, and his siblings: Adam Burningham (Diedre), Heather Paxman (Kevin), and RyanDavid Burningham (Emily).

Known for his signature plain white t-shirt and baseball cap, Tyler was funny, easy to talk to, and immensely proud of his children. Everywhere he went, he left an indelible impression on those he interacted with. He possessed a complicated soul that was both enigmatic and elementary, and for this reason amongst many others, he struggled to communicate his love adequately to those closest to him.

But this much is clear; at the end of his life, those who surround him and miss his impact in this world will have no doubt of his enduring sacrifices for us. He endured to the end, he loved to the best of his capacity, and was willing to bear it all to ensure the comfort of others. May he find the rest he so desperately deserved, and know that his Savior carried him each step of the way.
