1971- 2025

Tyra "Mooie" Cooper transitioned from her earthly home to eternal peace on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the age of 54. Daughter of the late James E. Cooper Sr. and Marilyn Wilson Cooper. Sister of Jeffery Wilson, John (Jeanette) Wilson, Gary (Lisa) Cooper, Inez Bossier, James Cooper Jr., Dineshea Cooper Morris, JoAnn, Barbara Ann, Tyrone (Laura) Cooper, Michael "Stew" Baker, and the late Brenda C. Pierre. Niece of Deyonne W. Kimble. Tyra was a native and resident of Ama, LA.

Members of the Hahnville High School class of 1991, relatives, friends of the family, pastors, officers, and members of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Ama and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 10867 River Rd, Ama, LA 70031 on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM, Pastor Sha'Teek Nobles Sr. officiating. Interment Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Ama, LA. Visitation at the above-named church from 8:00 AM until service time. Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick Sanders Funeral Home & Funeral Directors, LLC. 605 Main Street, Laplace, LA. 985-359-1919. "Providing Care & Comfort is Our Highest Mission."

My heart is heavy with sorrow over the loss of my dear friend Tyra. I want to offer my deepest condolences to her family and all who loved her. May God grant her eternal peace and comfort us all in this difficult time. Rest my dear for the battle was long and hard, but you were a WARRIOR throughout it all. Amen
