SUMMERS, Mr. Tyree - Age 66, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024 at McLaren-Flint. Mr. Summers will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00–6:00 PM Friday. Tyree Tyrone Summers was born August 31, 1958 to Donnie Jr. and Maxine Summers. He gained his wings December 29,2024 surrounded by family. Tyree (Timmy) graduated from Beecher high school in Class of 1976, after graduation he went to work at GM Truck and Bus. His passion for cooking and gardening will forever be etched in our heart. He loved his family and cherished his friends. Timmy had many talents and was gifted the knowledge that if he could dream it, he would create it. Tyree Tyrone Summers leaves to cherish his memories: wife of 38 years, Brenda Summers; sons, Tyree Tyrone (Kaeisha) Upchurch and Torrey Matthews; daughter, Mariah Summers; father, Donnie Summers Jr.; brothers, Danny (Denise) Summers and Ronnie (Rhonda) Summers; 2 sisters, Sharon Greene and Tina Summers; aunts, Carol (Weldon) Sharp, Dora Weston and Gloria Redmond, Dorothy Towns, Corine (Dave) Anthony all of Michigan and Ella Robinson of Little Rock, AR; uncles, Melvin (Jean) Summers, Woodrow (Minnie) Wilson, Curley (Bonnie) Summers and Earl Wilson, all of Michigan; special sister-in-law, Jean Jackson; brother-in- law, Rod Greene; seven grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends; special daughter. He also leaves lifelong friends: Vernell Williams, George Jones, James Kemp, Dennis Boykins and Matthew Thomas and special cousin, Kathy Harris. Tyree was preceded in death by his loving mother, Maxine Summers; 2 sons; mother-in-law, Ola M. Calvert; grandparents; 1 brother; 5 aunts; 2 uncles; and cousins and a nephew. The family would like to express special thanks to the entire staff at McLaren-Flint and Dr. Kia. Words cannot express your dedication and compassion given to the Summers family. May God continue to bless each of you.
