Tyrell Haynes Dickson, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, was born on June 27, 1984, in Paterson, New Jersey. He left this world on January 14, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love that will endure.
Tyrell graduated from Ewing High School, class of 2002, and carried the spirit of his youthful days into adulthood. He was known for his infectious smile and unwavering passion for the outdoors. Whether it was playing basketball or simply enjoying the company of neighborhood kids, he brought joy to those around him, making him a beacon of light in his community.
A devoted father, Tyrell took immense pride in his children: his first born, Tykwan Dickson-Colon, who he shared with Samantha Colon. Ty’arah Dickson and Zachariah Dickson, who he shared with Tarez Boyd. Tylii Dickson and Tytiana Dickson, who he shared with Lidya Rivera.
Tyrell was blessed with a supportive family, including his mother, Lacishia Dickson, who will forever carry the memory of her beloved son in her heart. Late father J.D. Dickson. His siblings—David Woods, Tawana Dickson, Cheryl Ann Dickson, Charisma Solomon, Lovetta Dickson, Sache Haynes Marshall and Glenn Dickson—were not just family; they were his lifelong companions, sharing both laughter and challenges. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will remember him fondly.
The celebration of Tyrell's life will be held at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services in Morrisville, PA, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. Visitation will begin on January 29, 2025, at 9:30 AM, followed by a heartfelt Celebration of Life at 11:30 AM, where his loved ones can gather to honor and remember him.
As we reflect on Tyrell's life, we remember a man who embodied warmth, kindness, and an unconditional love for his family. While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his spirit that touched so many. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, forever living on in the hearts of those who knew him.
