Ubaldo Ochoa Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ferrara Colonial Mortuary - Orange on Dec. 13, 2025.
Ubaldo Gonzalez Ochoa, a man whose life was marked by an unwavering love for his family, a dedicated work ethic, and a spirited sense of humor, passed away on the 9th of December, 2025, in Orange, California. Born on the 1st of November, 1950, in El Aguaje, Michoacan, Mexico, Ubaldo's journey was one of determination, faith, and joy that touched all who were privileged to know him.
Ubaldo's early years were spent in the nurturing environment of El Aguaje, where he attended local schools and was instilled with the values of community and hard work. Seeking a brighter future, he bravely ventured to the United States, where destiny favored him with a fateful encounter with Irma Gutierrez. Their immediate connection blossomed into a loving marriage that lasted over 22 years. Though their paths eventually diverged, the bond of friendship they maintained was a testament to their shared respect and affection.
Professionally, Ubaldo was known for his dedication as a commercial truck driver, a career he pursued with excellence for over four decades until his well-earned retirement. His commitment to his profession was paralleled only by his devotion to his family, which remained the cornerstone of his life.
Ubaldo's legacy is lovingly carried on by his family: his loving mother, Maria Ochoa; his daughters Liliana and Saramari Ochoa; his sons Carlos, Andres, Angel, Osbaldo, and Carlos Tavares; his cherished grandchildren Mariana Alcala, Giselle Jimenez, and Oliver Ochoa; his caring sisters Maria Jesus, Lupe, Lucila, and Maria; and his brothers Jose, Alfonso, Antonio, Arturo, and Artemio; who together continue to weave the fabric of unity and love he so valued.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Ochoa Herrera.
Known for his lighthearted spirit, Ubaldo's presence was often accompanied by laughter and the warmth of his "dad jokes," which he shared generously with those around him. His passion for soccer was a lifelong affair, as both a player and an ardent spectator, finding joy both on the field and in front of the television, cheering on his favorite teams.
Ubaldo's culinary skills were legendary among family and friends, particularly his mastery of carne asada and chicken on the grill. His love for the beach and the soothing embrace of the water was one of his favorite ways to relax, along with indulging in the dramatic twists of Mexican Soap Operas and savoring a cold beer.
A true gentleman, Ubaldo's charm and gallant nature earned him the affection of many, yet it was his spiritual devotion and quiet, observant personality that truly defined him. A man of faith, he practiced his Catholic beliefs with a humble and reflective heart.
Ubaldo Gonzalez Ochoa will be remembered as a funny, loving man who brought light and joy to every gathering. His memory will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to be part of his life's story. As we bid farewell to Ubaldo, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of laughter, love, and the simple pleasures that make a life truly rich and memorable. ____________________
