Ulysses Mann Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Funerals by T. S. Warden - Jacksonville on Jul. 19, 2022.
Mr. Ulysses Mann, Jr. was born in Jacksonville, Florida on August 10th, 1951 to Ulysses Mann Sr. and Beatrice Cobb. He relocated to Greenville, Florida where he attended local schools then he went into the Job Corp. He accepted Christ at an early age at Reeper Baptist Church in Greenville, Florida and later joined St. Andrew Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL.
He returned back to Jacksonville, Florida and started in construction work as a cement finisher which you could see his work all over the city with our sidewalks and some city streets and many homes were some of his greatest accomplishments. He was very proud of his work.
Mr. Mann also loved to fish and, most importantly, he loved planting his garden; he would have the best looking garden ever and everyone would walk by just to admire his handy work and ask if they could have some greens and he would gladly give them away. He was best known as Leo or Wolf by friends and Papa by all the kids and grandkids.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife, Dominique Mann of 36 years; children: Rodell Edwards (Markieta), Katrita Mann, Kolon Mann, Precious Cummings (Adrian), Charity Garmon (Larry), and Charnique Mann (Terrell) all of Jacksonville, FL; siblings: Cecil Cobb of Greenville, FL, Felton Mann of Greenville, FL, Herman Mann (Lena) of Jacksonville, FL, Beatrice Brown of Jacksonville, FL, Michael Mann of Jacksonville, FL, Janice Simpson (Michael) of Jacksonville, FL, Ulysses C Mann Jr. of Snellville, GA, Angie Dancy (Eric) of Jacksonville, FL, Karen Mann of Jacksonville, FL, Stephanie Mann of Jacksonville, FL, Tracey Taylor of Stockbridge, GA, Elizabeth Woods (Reginald) of Covington, GA, Kenneth Mann, and Lisa Jordan; 29 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Robert Edwards; special uncle, Herman Cobb; special friends, Albert Abernathy, Joe Bennett, John D., and James Seymore; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
