DELAWARE, IOWA
Urban “Junior” A. Feltes Jr., 85, of Delaware, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Edgewood Convalescent Home in Edgewood, Iowa surrounded by his loved ones.
Visitation will be held 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2026, at Kramer-Morris Funeral Home in Monticello, Iowa where family & friends will share stories of Junior. Burial will follow at Hopkinton Cemetery, Hopkinton, Iowa.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Urban was born on March 24, 1941, in Worthington, Iowa, son of Urban and Germaine (Hillebrand) Feltes. He married Ruthann Payne and 4 children were born to this union, but later separated. He retired in 1998, after several decades of dedicated service to the Ryan Co-op company as a truck driver. Junior enjoyed playing cards, eating out, working on vehicles, traveling and pulling rope
Survivors include his children: Doug (Pam) Feltes of Hiawatha, Duane (Special Friend, Rose Costello) Feltes of Holden, MO, Darcy (Scott) Wolf of New Liberty, Deanna (Jim) Krapfl of Earlville; companion, Linda Chambers of Delaware and her children, Ron (Val) Hildebrand, Darrell (Cindi) Hildebrand and Tina (Special Friend, Kevin Markham) Hildebrand; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: Dave (Nancy) Feltes, Jane (Dennis) Wedewer, Betty Heiring and a sister-in-law, Carol Feltes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Ambrose Hillebrand, James “Jim” Feltes, Ronald “Tiny”(Jackie) Feltes and a brother-in-law, Jack Heiring.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Edgewood Convalescent Home and Care Initiatives Hospice of Manchester for their compassionate care of Junior.
