Ursel Elsner Wallace

Ursel Elsner Wallace, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was born on January 15, 1942, in Dortmund, Germany to Else Bertelman Elsner and Richard Wilhelm Elsner.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose energy and resolve touched everyone who knew her. She was an active and cherished member of her church. She loved taking cruises, traveling to new places, painting, gardening, ballet, and acting pursuits that brought beauty and adventure into her life and the lives of those around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wally. She is survived by her daughter Susan, her son Billy, her five grandchildren, her two greatgrandchildren, and her brother Klaus.

A private family service will be held in her honor. She will be laid to rest at sea, where she always felt free and at peace.

Her memory will forever remain a blessing to those who loved her.
