Valeria Mary (Denn) Gerbasi, 88, of Cornelius, NC, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025. Born on February 21, 1937, in Mankato, MN, Valeria was the beloved daughter of the late Leo and Clara Denn. Valeria built a distinguished career as the Executive Director at Lady Finelle Cosmetics, where she served for over 20 years. She was admired for her leadership, professionalism, and dedication to helping others feel confident and beautiful. She is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, Robert Gerbasi; her daughters, Cathy Strassburg (the late Gerald) and Geraldine Palillo (Jake). She was predeceased by her beloved son Larry Gerbasi, as well as by her brother Donald Denn (Teresa). Valeria is also survived by her siblings, Dick Schmit (Joann), Bob Schmit (Genny), and Rita Michaels (Dave). She was a cherished grandmother to Jamie (Jonathon), Rachelle (Jesse), Jake (Amanda), Brandi (Brock), Briana, and Gabrielle, and a proud great-grandmother to Hunter, Riley, Ayla, Reese, Cameryn, Jacob, Averi, Saylor, and Blaine. She is also remembered lovingly by several nieces and nephews. Valeria's life was defined by her deep faith, her love of family, and her warm, generous spirit. She touched the lives of all who knew her and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and professional excellence. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr, Huntersville, NC 28078. A funeral mass will follow on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 11:30 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church, 14740 Stumptown Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078.
