With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Valerie Blonski, who died peacefully on September 2, 2025, at the age of 77.
Born on August 12, 1948, Valerie was the beloved daughter of the late Regina and Stanley "Bob" Blonski. She was preceded in death by her brother, James T. Blonski, and is remembered fondly by her sister-in-law, Mary.
Valerie was a devoted mother to her son, Mathew M. Zastrow. Survived by her daughter-in-law, Jennifer E. Zastrow (née Skaff), and a proud grandmother to Isabella S. Zastrow. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Kathi M. Burger (née Zastrow), and her nephew, Jay Z. Blonski, as well as extended family and friends who will miss her deeply.
Valerie's warmth, strength, and love for her family left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She will be remembered for her quiet resilience, deep faith, and the unconditional love she gave to those closest to her.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, at Max A Sass Greenridge chapel, 4747 S 60th St., Greenfield, WI 53220, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
A short visitation will take place on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes, 3722 S. 58th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53220, from 9:00 until the time of mass at 11:00 am followed by a gathering in the reception hall for lunch.
Valerie’s life was a gift to those around her, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew her.
