Brehm, Valerie J.
TROY - Valerie J. Brehm, 62, died unexpectedly, Saturday October 4, 2025, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of Caroline Oulette Wilcox and the late Ronald David Wilcox; and wife of John J. Brehm. Valerie was a lifelong resident of Troy, and a graduate of Troy High School.
Valerie was a Hair Stylist for 45 years most recently at Davida's Salon in Troy, and a housing specialist for the Troy Housing Authority.
She enjoyed attending Washington Commanders games and concerts with her husband and loved working and helping people.
Survivors in addition to her husband, John; and her mother, Caroline include; her brother, Michael (Michelle) Wilcox, Schuylerville; her nephew, Justin Wilcox, Spring Lake, N.C.; her great aunt, Leona (Ron) Monforte, Conn.; her uncle, Russell Oulette, Pa.; and several cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Ronald David Wilcox.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc., 276 Pawling Ave., Troy, on Thursday, October 9, 2025, 4 to 6:30 p.m., with a service to follow at 6:30 p.m., with Deacon Charles Wojton officiating.

Valerie always had a smile. She was always helpful in so many ways. She loved Calla Lily my little fox terrier and Calla she loved her. Valerie was encouraging, she seemed to always know what to say to comfort people who had problems. She was steadfast and committed to everything she did.
