Mrs. Valerie G. Carter, age 73, of N. Chesterfield, departed this life on March 5, 2025. She was employed at Southhampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Virginia. and Johnston Willis Hosptial in Midlothian. She enjoyed shopping and relaxing outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Shawn Buck, and Jamaal Buck (Yolanda); four grandchildren, Shawn Buck Jr., Levi Buck, Lavonnya Wilson and Elijah Boone; one aunt, Delois Hatchett; a host of cousins and other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 11:00am. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:45am on Wednesday.
