Valerie Claire Eccard, 83, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Sunday July 20, 2025, at Creekside Center, Hagerstown.
Born August 17, 1941, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late, Frank Augustus and Mary Elizabeth (Delaughter) Mullenix. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Glenn W. Eccard, Jr.; stepson, Glenn W. Eccard III; six siblings, Harold, Daren and Nervin Mullenix, Beatrice Myers, Louise Monn and Gloria Wolford.
Mrs. Eccard worked in custodial services for Roadway Trucking.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Chewsville; Hagerstown Red Hat Society, TOPS and she was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan, bingo player and she loved dancing.
She is survived by a stepdaughter, Lisa M. Eccard; two sisters, Mildred Toms and Nadine Bercaw and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor James Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday one hour prior to the service.
