Valetta Danyel Hawkins Williams (nickname Kitten) was born March 15, 1968, in Seattle Washington. Kitten was raised by her beloved mother Evelyn Moore who instilled into Kitten the values of being a virtuous and brilliant woman.
Kitten attend school in the Seattle area, first attending Kimble Elementary, then Mercer Middle, and a proud grad of Rainier Beach High School. She was very active in sports during high school and became one of the top sprinters in the area winning several awards including a state record on the 400-meter relay team. Upon graduating from high school, Kitten received her AA degree from Bellevue Community College and furthered her education at the University of Washington receiving her BA degree in Education in 1992. In June 1993 Kitten married her best friend and of Love of her life Chris Williams. The union of Chris and Kitten was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Brandi LaRuth Williams 26, Brittni Danielle Williams 23.
Kitten dedicated herself to her family being a stay-at-home mom for several years raising her girls and getting them involved in all types of sports. The girls like their mom excelled in track competitions and won several regional and national awards.
Once the girls entered elementary school, Kitten shifts some focus to continue her career. She became a teacher in the Federal Way school district and later taught at the Muckleshoot Schools for several years. She then changed careers and became a Chemical Dependency Counselor working with youth and seniors. Kitten continued her professional ambitions by studying and becoming a State licensed Substance Use Disorder Professional working for Pierce County Alliance in Tacoma.
Kitten was a wonderful mother, devoted wife, and woman of high integrity. She was an excellent cook and loved to feed her family and friends. Her family was everything to Kitten she loved them tremendously and always put family first. Every year she would plan where the family would go on summer vacation with Disneyland being one of the family's favorite places to go.
She is proceeded in death by her mother Evelyn LaRuth Moore, her grandparents Rev. Otis and Addie Moore, her uncle Otis Moore, Jr. Also, her aunt and uncle John and Juanita Howard. Her 3 brothers-in-law Bernard Williams, Doug McWhorter, and Floyd Williams.
Kitten is survived by Chris her husband and her two daughters Brandi and Brittni, and her two great aunts Trisha and Joe Ann Moore. Her mother-in-law Lela Sanders, her cousins Alesia, (husband Vincent) Catrina, Jasmine, Amira, Nia, Micah, Jordan, Jacob, and John Curtis, and a host of family and friends.

I´m so sorry to hear of your passing. I remember you when you were in elementary school when I tutored you and I was your bus monitor at Arbor Heights elementary school. May you continue to rest in peace! you were a beautiful child and I knew know you grew up to be a beautiful woman, mother and wife!
