Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 2703 Boxankle Road, Forsyth, Georgia 31029. Burial in Rest Haven Cemetery, 525 Hwy 83. South, Forsyth, Georgia. Service is scheduled to be Streamed Live on our Facebook Page.

Public viewing will be Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 2-6 PM. Visitation with family will be from 4-6 PM. Continue to keep the family in prayer.

Valine Watts Lucear was born October 26, 1934 to the late Perilee Watts and Lenzy Hansford. Valine was reared by her late maternal grandmother Mollie Watts. Valine was preceded in death by all her siblings and by two children Robert Gregory Lucear and Villian Lucear.

Valine grew up surrounded by her loving grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She attended Hubbard High School in Monroe County where she was a part of the class of 1954.

She was a member of the Annual Ninety Year and Older Birthday Celebration sponsored by the late Rubye James Watts Family. As a child, Valine joined Mount Gilead Baptist Church, and she remained a life long member.

Valine was a loving, caring, and devoted mother, grandmother, and care provider to many children in her community. She was affectionately called by her children, grandchildren, and by many others as Mama Valine, Mama V, or Mama.

Valine loved her family dearly and dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and extended family. She leaves behind cherished memories with her nine daughters, Gloria Furlow, Carol Lucear, Kathy Dewberry, Vallette Traylor (Dennis) Tera Lucear, Lucretia Lucear, Dale Jones (Thomas), Becky Jones (Antonio), Tracy Mallory (Gerald) and her two sons Danny Lucear (Deneice) and Micheal Lucear; seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, two god-daughters, Brenda Shannon, Mary Collier; one god- grandchild Jajuan Zellner (Imani) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved and cherished her deeply.

Valine will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She will be remembered by her love, smile, strong will, the care and dedication she showed to her children, grandchildren, loved ones, and special friends
