Sunbury – Van G. Biddinger, 77, of Sunbury, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Shamokin on March 21, 1947 to the late Allen and Gertrude (Young) Biddinger. He graduated in 1965 from Shamokin Area High School. He served in the United States Air Force.
On June 14, 1969 in Sunbury, he married Kay Miller, who survives. He worked as an equipment operator at the power plant, Shamokin Dam. He was a member of the United Lutheran Church, Sunbury.
A lifelong lover of sports, Van had an undeniable passion for watching games and supporting his favorite teams. His love for sports extended beyond the screen, as he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play various sports. He instilled in them the same enthusiasm for competition and teamwork, and pushed them to always be supportive, confident, and loving.
His grandchildren were the three joys of his life. He loved and celebrated all their achievements with much pride.
In addition to his wife, Van is survived by two sons, Allen Biddinger and his wife, Deb of Easton, and Brian Biddinger and his wife, Samantha of Shamokin; a grandson, Cobi Biddinger and his wife, Kaila of TX; two granddaughters, Paige Biddinger, and Zoey Biddinger; a sister, Janice Valone of FL; a brother-in-law, Lee Miller and his wife, Theresa of Sunbury; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Van was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Mabel (Gearhart) Miller.
Funeral Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury. Arrangements are being cared for by Farrow-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, PA, Lori Ann Campbell Supervisor.
