Vanessa Ridgeway Abdul-Hadi

Vanessa Ridgeway Abdul-Hadi of Winter Park, Florida, passed away March 8th, 2023. She was 69.
She was born September 27th, 1953, in Dover, Delaware to the late Mable and Leroy Ridgeway.
Ms. Abdul-Hadi worked 20 years as a licensed Practical Nurse at the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically III, retiring in 2018. She loved sitting down with a good book, watching her favorite movies, and most of all, she enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Ms. Abdul-Hadi is survived by her four children (ex-husband Gary Crawford), Aleathea Tabb, Joshua Crawford., Maurice Crawford, Gary Crawford, Jr.; her brothers, Corbet Ridgeway, Lil George, Lerot Ridgeway Jr, and Tony Ridgeway; her sisters, Joanna Ridgeway, Melvonna Ridgeway, Tammy Ridgeway, Shirley Mooris, Grace Jackson, Phyllis Ridgeway, Sheena Ridgeway, Frances Jones, and Tanya Ridgeway; and her fifteen grandchildren, Dashawn Nettles, Jeramiah Tabb, Sumayyah Crawford, Tristan Tabb, William Tabb IIII, Ashley Tabb, Justin Crawford, Christopher Crawford, Aaliyah Crawford, Marcus Crawford, Destiny Crawford, Maurice Crawford Jr, Mason Crawford, Marc Crawford, and Maranda Crawford.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, March 21st, 2023, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will be held at Immanuel Union United Methodist Church Cemetery.
