Mr. Vannis William Gray, 95, Columbia, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025 peacefully at home. He was born July 28, 1929 in Kinder, Missouri a son of the late James L. and Mary Ellen (Keaster) Gray. He was later united in marriage to Helen Teeters who preceded him in death in 1997.



Mr. Gray proudly served in the Army National Guard. He retired after a distinguished 37 year career with the Missouri Department of Conservation as a Construction Superintendent.



He was preceded in death by his parents: James and Mary Ellen Gray; wife: Helen Gray; daughter: Vanna Bernard. He is survived by a granddaughter: Jocelyn Bernard of Columbia, Missouri.



Per his wishes private interment will be in Dexter Cemetery in Stoddard County, Missouri.



Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
