Varlene Virginia Bentley, 80, of St. Charles, Missouri passed away Monday, November 3,
2025, with her family by her side. A beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and
member of The Sanctuary Church.
Varlene walked with the teachings of God. She lived in the beauty of God’s creations; being
able view the birds and deer from her window brought her joy daily. Visiting the ocean
during her lifetime, listening to the water and watching the waves rolling created peace for
her. She also loved gospel music, hearing her brothers and sisters sing in the name of God
always filled her heart with happiness.
She leaves behind four sisters, Jenny Waltlington, Janie Weathers, Gwen Sellars and Teresa
Day; two brothers Robert Day and Randy Day; two daughters Sheena Yocum and Sherry
Parker; two grandchildren Kimberly Duncan and Caley Schweitzer; John Beckham who was
like son to her and two pets Zeus and Corona. She was proceeded in death by her parents,
Monroe Sampson Day and Mary Lorene Day, sister Mary Francis Hendrixson, brother
Sammy Day and her husband Oscar Bentley.
