I taught Bill early in my career in the English Department at Lakewood High School. I was so proud of the work he did as a journalist. He was always a gentleman and a humanitarian. He treated those he interviewed with dignity and grace.

I went to high school with Bill always happy, smiling and was a good guy. I'm so sorry to hear of his unfortunate passing God needed him for better things. May he rest in peace and know he will always be watching his family and friends.

I worked with Bill for years at WOIO-TV. I remember the day the 3 girls were rescued after being held hostage for 10 years. He had promised the mother of one of the girls, before they were rescued, he would wear a tie the mother liked on the day her daughter came home. Sadly, the mother passed before seeing her daughter, but Bill kept his word and wore that tie in the newsroom that day.
He was a funny, calming, likable guy...He will be missed...

I remember going to school with Bill in Harding Middle school. He was always friendly, upbeat and busy. He was a very smart individual. My condolences to his family, around the holiday. I will miss him greatly and it was an honor to have known him. R.I.P. dear friend.
