Veena Gulati

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Veena Gulati, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, singer, and artist, who left us peacefully on December 23, 2025, in Ocala, Florida surrounded by her family.

Veena was born on February 3, 1944, to Manoharlal Kumar and Savitri Devi Kumar in Lyallpur. She lived a life shaped by both hardship and beauty, and she carried herself with remarkable resilience and quiet strength.

She is survived by her daughter Rachna Uppal, son-in-law Manu Uppal, her granddaughters Arushi Uppal and Medha Uppal, and her sister Neelam Kohli, brother-in-law Nagesh Kohli, and their family.

Veena was an artist at heart. Her paintings, proudly adorned her home in Ocala and reflected her love for beauty and expression She was drawn to vibrant colors, soulful music, and the beauty that made life feel fuller. A gifted singer, music was both her joy and her refuge.

Although her life was marked by periods of pain, Veena met every challenge with grit and perseverance. Through strength and determination, she built a full life in India and later established a home in the United States. Her deepest pride and joy was her daughter, Rachna, whom she loved wholeheartedly and admired endlessly, and who grew into a compassionate, self-assured woman with many achievements of her own.

Above all, Veena's creativity, strength, and enduring spirit will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
