Dear Family Of Velda.. I'm sorry that I was out of town when Velda passed away and missed attending her funeral... Velda workered tirelessly during the development of senior programing ...1977..and several years beyond, Vista volunteer, 14 page survey, Green Thumb program, meals, transit, the hiring of Darlene Braumbaugh, Geri Shipley and myself and the final goal of that early dedicated group the Elm Street Center. Velda worked with passion, she was a mentor to me... the seniors of Webster County was and still is to this day a better place for older adults to reside...Geri & I are still very much involved...serving on boards and directing Elm Street center. My deepest sympathty to all...Yvonne
