Velma "Meemaw" Coffman , 67, passed away on September 24th, 2025 at Wood County Hospital. She was born to James and Sharlene on July 20th, 1958 in Columbus. Eventually she would meet Michael Coffman, the love of her life, and they would be married in April of 1974. Together Velma and Michael would raise two wonderful sons, Michael Jr. and Christopher.
Velma loved playing pool, gardening, and shopping. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was the most caring and loving person she would do anything to help anyone.
Velma is survived by her son Christopher; grandchildren Mikey, Chelsey, and Alayna (Nate); great-grandchildren, Nathan, Maya, Ayva, Kaiden, Sophia, and Jaxon and brothers Steve (Crystal) and Robert . In addition, she is survived by numerous adopted family members she had met during her lifetime. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Teresa, brother Jimmy, son Michael Jr and love of her life, her husband Michael Sr.
Velma's family wishes to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Bowling Green Manor who helped care for Velma throughout her time there.
