Vencil Paul Hees

Vencil Paul Hees, 92, of California, MO passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 31, 1932, the son of Argo and Margie (Kelsay) Hees. Vencil was united in marriage on February 23, 1963 in California, MO to Joyce Roll who survives of the home. Vencil worked and retired after 34 years from the Missouri Department of Transportation. Vencil served in the United States Army and was in the Korean War. Vencil enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, barbecuing and NASCAR. His greatest love and enjoyment in life was his family and grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Joyce, Vencil is survived by his children, Dennis (Rhonda) Hees of Tipton, MO; Cathy Hees of California, MO; David (Carrie Northway) Hees of Jefferson City, MO; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Erma Jean Stark of Jefferson City, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Murrel Hees and one sister Elsie Flippin. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 10-11 A.M. with the funeral immediately following at 11 A.M. all at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Annunciation Catholic Cemetery with full military honors. Memorials are suggested to Annunciation Catholic Cemetery c/o the funeral home.
