Veneta Irene Nincehelser, 92, of Nebraska passed away November 11, 2025, at the home of her daughter in rural Clinton County.

She was born March 15, 1933, in Peru, Nebraska to Oland & Cornelia (Moore) Jones. She married Donald Herb Nincehelser and he preceded her in death in November 1978.

Veneta was a graduate of Brownville High School in Nebraska. She had taken care of laundry, worked at an apple orchard and the Yellow Submarine as a waitress. She also worked at Pendleton Sewing Factory and American Meter for 26 years. Veneta enjoyed sewing, flower gardens, house painting, and animals, especially horses. She loved her children and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Veneta is survived by her children, Christine “Christy” (Tim) Baker of Michigantown, Dianna (Allan) Keene of Union, NE, Rodney (Teri) Nincehelser of Syracuse, NE, Kathy (Tim) Dority of rural Kirklin, 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, with one due in December.

In addition to her parents and spouse, she is preceded in death by a sister, Carlene Hensley, brothers, Warren “Corky” Jones, Claude “Buck” Jones, grandsons, Joshua Baker, Aaron Keene and great granddaughter, Peyton Dority.

A funeral service will be held Friday, November 21, 2:00 p.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn.  Visitation with family will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery at Brownville.
