Vera Mae Abhold

Vera M. Abhold, age 97, of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born on November 26, 1924 in Winneconne, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Emil and Bessie (Mc Gowan)Hinz.
On August 29, 1942, Vera married Howard Abhold. He preceded her in death on December 13, 1963.
Vera loved crocheting, playing Scrabble, feeding the birds, flowers and polka music.
Vera is survived by four sons, Danny Abhold, Menasha; Keith Abhold, Texas; Kelly (Pam) Abhold, Weyauwega; Tom Abhold, Waupaca; four daughters, Pat (Lisa) Spaulding, Wisconsin Rapids; Sharon Hamm, Waupaca; Laura Conlon, Iola; Sandy (Mark) Elias, Amherst; and Angel (Victor) Estrada, Fremont; 33 grandchildren, and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard; 5 sons, Chuck, Ken, Larry, Howie and Mike, and a daughter, Beth.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 3:00 pm at the Lewin Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Fremont. Rev. Andy Behrendt will officiate. Visitation will be held at Lewin Funeral Home on Thursday, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
