Roy Edward Abhold, 78, of Menasha, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2024.
Roy was born on July 16, 1945, in Neenah, Wisconsin to John and Edith (Newton) Abhold.
Roy was a devoted family man and greatly cherished his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was a hard worker and always supported his family but went even beyond that to always be available for sound advice. He was a wise man who left a beautiful legacy. He loved the children in the family and was always doing special things for them all, even working on cars, helping with money when needed and watching cartoons with them.
He enjoyed fishing, driving in the country, woodworking and just being out in nature, especially at Keller's Lake. He fed the squirrels and birds every morning and loved gardening as well. One of his favored pastimes was secondhand treasure hunting.
He was so determined and always pushed through and did not let his health issues stop him. His love for family was his motivation.
Roy is survived by his children, Sherri (Roger) Huff, JohhnyRay (Sarah) Abhold, grandchildren Ross, Leah, Naomi, Asher, Samuel, great-grandchildren Avery and Nolan; siblings Fred, Florence, and Lorraine; and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends and family.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, his nephew Danny, great nephew Kyle, and sister-in-law Vivian.
