Vera Barnhart Obituary
Vera J. Barnhart, 95, passed away on September 19, 2025.
Born in South Shore, KY, she graduated from McKell High School. Vera retired from Kent State University in 1992 and was a member of Mogadore United Methodist Church. She enjoyed collecting angels, cooking new recipes, gardening, and listening to gospel music and quartets.
Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Claude W. Barnhart. She is survived by her son, Kenneth W. Barnhart of Mogadore, and grandson, Andrew Harris Barnhart of Hartville.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, September 25th from 4 to 7pm at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44312. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 26th at 10:30am with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mogadore United Methodist Church, 3828 Mogadore Rd. Mogadore, OH 44260.
