Vera Diky Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte on Jan. 3, 2026.
Vera Yakovlevna Diky was born to Yulya and Yakov Kovtun on December 24, 1957, in Cherkessk, USSR. She grew up in a loving Christian home, one of seven children. In the summer of 1974, Vera gave her life to the Lord and was baptized at night, beginning a lifelong walk of faith.

Vera Kovtun and Aleksandr Diky grew up in the same underground church. They fell in love and were married on May 16, 1976. This year would have marked their golden 50th wedding anniversary. The Lord blessed their union with seven children: Yekaterina, Nataliya, Alexander Jr., Yulia, Andrey, Nadezhda, and Alona. In 1988, the Lord made a way for their family to immigrate to the United States. They arrived in Denver, Colorado, on March 16, 1989, where they lived for 18 years and raised their family.

In 2007, Alex and Vera moved to Ozark, Missouri. Their family continued to grow, welcoming sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, and eventually 22 beautiful grandchildren. Vera greatly enjoyed having her large family together, especially during the holidays, cherishing every moment and milestone shared. She celebrated her 68th birthday on Christmas Eve, surrounded by her children and grandchildren

On January 2, the Lord welcomed her home, saying, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Vera truly lived a life of service. She touched countless lives through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith. She will be remembered for her devotion to the Lord, her deep love for her family, and her commitment to showing the love of Jesus to everyone she met.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her sisters, family, and all who knew and loved her.

Until we meet again.
